Hi Dod, thanks for the sharing. I think to answer your question of ‘will they be willing to come back to the party’, I would say it depends on how value can be co-created between the company and the retiree.
The trend is that many retirees ‘regret’ their actions shortly after their retirements; they looked forward to their retirement lives but after a while, they found themselves quit lost and bored. Many thought that there was still gas for another mile and would like to contribute again, perhaps as consultants. But whether to the same company will depend on the relationship before retirement.
