\n

Looking at the practical experience of organizations pursuing Knowledge Management (KM), it is found that their efforts are primarily focused on creating the conditions and the context that will enable knowledge creation & innovation.\u00a0This seminar proposes an integrated-view of KM – the \u201cSETR Framework\u201d – with special focus on the domains of knowledge creation, innovation and enabling contexts.<\/p>\n

The SETR Framework reconciles\u00a0multifaceted KM initiatives in a set of four interconnected arenas, i.e.:<\/p>\n

      1. Strategy<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Execution<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. Tools and\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. Results.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

        Examples will be drawn from the speaker\u2019s extensive research on KM and innovation in world-class organizations based in Brazil along the past decade.

        Dr. Rivad\u00e1via Correa Drummond de Alvarenga Neto<\/p><\/div><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

        Dr. Rivad\u00e1via Correa Drummond de Alvarenga Neto is President of UNIBH (University Center of Belo Horizonte), Honorary Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education (The University of Hong Kong) Associate Professor at Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Dom Cabral (FDC \u2013 ranked first in executive education in Latin America in 2012) and MBA Professor at UNA, Brazil. He holds a PhD in Information Science from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais Federal – UFMG, Brazil. Rivad\u00e1via speaks regularly on the subjects of business models, innovation and knowledge management (KM). He conducted the first in-depth KM qualitative study within the Brazilian organizational context in 2005. Since 2001, he’s been working with many world-class organizations, such as Petrobras, Embrapa, Astra Zeneca, Linde, Banco do Brasil, Ita\u00fa-Unibanco, Santander, Cardif, Bradesco, Siemens, NEC, Odebrechdt, Globo TV, Mittal Steel, Camargo Correa, Embraer, Grupo Abril, Martins, Prossegur, FIAT, Anglo American, Siemens, SugarCane Technology Center (CTC) and PricewaterhouseCoopers, among others.<\/p>\n

        His book on KM is now on its fifth print in Brazil (Knowledge Management in Organizations, Editora Saraiva, S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, 2008) and two new ones are just being released on the topics of innovation, knowledge creation and networks. He was a postdoc and visiting scholar at the Faculty Information Studies at the University of Toronto, hosted by Dr. Chun Wei Choo, where he is still a guest researcher of KMRC \u2013 Knowledge Management Research Centre, FIS\/UofT.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

        Dr \u00a0Neto’s gave an impressive talk to the society. \u00a0Far reaching practical discussion that will require some reflection.<\/p>\n
