Please complete the registration form below to reserve your place. \u00a0 \u00a0Further details can be found below.<\/p>\n<p>The MasterClass will address two themes of importance to the success of organisations;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"m_5867651742139022527MsoListParagraph\">\u201cCreating a knowledge sharing environment: the role of HR &amp; IT professionals\u201d<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1780\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hkkms.hk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/navigating.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"157\" height=\"236\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_5867651742139022527MsoListParagraph\">Organisations that set out to create an effective knowledge sharing environment will need to overcome many barriers. Most are behavioural and societal, encompassing leadership and engagement. The role of the HR &amp; IT professional in this process is key.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_5867651742139022527MsoListParagraph\">In facilitating this session Paul will draw on research conducted for his co-authored book &#8220;Navigating the Minefield: A Practical KM Companion&#8221; and numerous assignments carried\u00a0out in Asia, Middle East and The Americas. He will identify potential drivers for the creation of a knowledge sharing environment, examine the pitfalls that are likely to arise and suggest how HR &amp; IT can support such an environment.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"m_5867651742139022527MsoListParagraph\">&#8220;Reducing risk and enhancing value by capturing and exploiting an organisation&#8217;s critical knowledge&#8221;<br \/>\n<u><\/u><\/h3>\n<p>Most organisations face the challenges of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_5867651742139022527MsoListParagraph\">ensuring new joiners hit the ground running in the shortest time possible by equipping them with the knowledge and information they need to do their job<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_5867651742139022527MsoListParagraph\">transitioning staff into new roles so that when they are reassigned they have sufficient time and access to the knowledge and information they need<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_5867651742139022527MsoListParagraph\">capturing experience and knowledge from staff close to retirement, completing a project assignment, whose job might be disappearing or who are leaving to pursue another career so that their knowledge (and networks) are not lost.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Paul&#8217;s Bio<\/h3>\n<p>Paul J Corney is a well-known figure in the KM world, a prominent keynote speaker and Masterclass leader. One of the first \u2018Knowledge Managers\u2019 in the City of London in the mid 90\u2019s, he has\u00a0since advised global businesses on the creation and implementation of Knowledge Management programs.
